A small group of families started meeting for prayer and bible study in 1902. God placed on their hearts the mission of reaching out to Delray Beach through the establishment of Trinity Lutheran Church in 1904. Trinity built the original church building in 1904. That building is the oldest existing church building in the City of Delray Beach. Trinity opened a school to invest in the lives of Delray Beach’s children by providing Christian education in 1948. The original church building was moved from its original site in downtown Delray Beach to our present location in 1965. What started out in 1904 as a small group of families worshiping God has grown to an 8 acre campus where hundreds of families daily continue to worship Jesus through our church and school.

Growing in Christ…
Our students acquire and grow in their faith and understanding of Jesus their Savior through daily study of His word and weekly worship in Chapel.
Led by dynamic teachers…
Trinity teachers are the lifeblood of Trinity’s mission and vision. Our teachers work for student success and lead and guide them as they prepare them to be Christian contributors to their world.

History
1948
In September of 1948, Trinity Lutheran School was started with 12 kindergarten children in a one room school house located on the old church property at Northeast First Street and Fifth Avenue in downtown Delray Beach.
1963
In 1963, Trinity built four school buildings and moved their original 1904 sanctuary to the corner of Northwest Fourth Street and Swinton Avenue, where God continues to bless us.
1981
After 5 years of construction, the Fellowship Hall is built on the new property at Northwest Fourth Stree and Swinton Avenue. This will come to serve us today as the lunch room for our School.
1985
On September 8th, The Hofman Center for Christian Education was dedicated in honor of Miss Annie Hofman, a charter member of Trinity. This two story building still serves this purpose for our school to this day.
1990
After many delays, and permitting issues, the dedication of our “Ministry Center” took place on Thanksgiving Day. This building still serves as offices for administration for both our Church and School to this day.
2007
With generous donations from Mrs. Lucienne Driskill, and 5 year capital campaign, design, and building process, our gym building was completed, with 8 classrooms and a youth room. This building currently houses many of our 3rd through 8th grade classes.
2013
Trinity added a 10,000 square foot early childhood center to the twelve building campus that serves over 450 children daily. This facility lets us serve children as young as 1 year old thru PreKindergarten.
2024
Construction on a walkway was completed to connect our Driskill Center to the Hofman Center for Christian Education, providing more covered walking space, and the ability to access the second floor of the Hofman Center via elevator.
