Scripture for today is Psalm 145:
17 17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Observations:
These verses are good news of God's grace. David writes a Psalm of praise, giving thanks for the righteous virtues and works of God. He praises God for staying near to us who call on Him, and giving us salvation.
Application:
I am reminded that God is near to me and He hears my call. His salvation is a gift. He gives me salvation because I need it. This gift is not because I am good but because He is good.
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for Your faithfulness to me and Your promises of salvation. Help me to always remember Your gift of Jesus Christ so that I might always give You praise. Amen.
